About Me

Hello! My name is Timothy Volpe, and welcome to my website. A little bit about me: I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Engineering is both a career and a hobby for me. I use my hobby projects as a means for expanding my knowledge across multiple disciplines. Many of my projects have aspects of mechanical and software engineering in addition to electrical engineering.

These projects can serve as an amateur demonstration of the various skills listed on my resume. You’ll find examples of my skills including the use of embedded microprocessors and sensors, analog and digital circuitry, custom PCB design using Autodesk’s EAGLE, and the creation of custom enclosures and hardware using SolidWorks. Additionally, I have been programming for many years, primarily in C++/C and Python. Some of my projects can be found on my GitHub.

In my spare time I enjoy getting outside and enjoying nature. This includes hiking, skiing, kayaking, and canoeing. Between all this, I try to find the time to work on my projects and experiment with new homebrewing techniques and recipes.

Some of My Skills

This website shows off the skills I've gained doing personal projects over the years. Below is a non-inclusive list with some examples:

  • Fluke 87 III True RMS Multimeter
  • Hewlett-Packard 3325B Synthesizer/Function Generator
